Welcome to StatusKeep ("we", "our", or "us"). SolosApps develops StatusKeep as a privacy-focused utility tool designed to help users view, save, organize, and manage status photos and videos locally on their Android devices.
Your privacy is paramount. StatusKeep operates strictly on a local device level. We do not collect, process, host, sell, or transmit any personal user data to external servers or third parties.
2. Information Collection & Usage
StatusKeep adheres to a strict zero-data collection policy:
- No Personal Data Collection: We do not require accounts, sign-ins, names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or location details.
- No Cloud Storage or Remote Uploads: All file indexing, status thumbnail generation, and file saving operations occur entirely on your local hardware device.
- No Tracking or Telemetry: The application does not contain behavioral analytics, tracking scripts, or profiling SDKs.
3. Device Permissions & Scoped Storage
To function as a media status viewer and saver, StatusKeep requests specific Android operating system permissions solely for local device operations:
- Storage Access Framework (SAF / Action Open Document Tree): Grants user-approved, read-only directory access to temporary status media folders stored locally by messaging applications on your device.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES & READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (Android 13+): Allows the app to render status images and play status video files selected by the user.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 & earlier): Enables saving user-selected status media directly to your device's public Downloads/StatusKeep folder.

4. Data Retention & User Control
Because all media files saved using StatusKeep reside on your device's local storage, you possess complete ownership and control over your files:
- You can view or delete saved media files at any time via your device's default Gallery or File Manager app.
- Uninstalling StatusKeep or clearing application data completely removes all local app settings and temporary cache files.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
StatusKeep is not directed toward children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal or operational requirements. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
